Ujjwal and Chaitali’s Indian Wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch was vibrant, romantic, and we danced the night away! I had so much fun capturing my first Indian wedding last fall in Larkspur, Colorado. They combined traditional and non-traditional aspects to their mountain wedding. The vibrant colors were perfect amongst the mountain greenery! Their dog was the flower girl and pranced around all day. Perfection.
They asked me if I had shot an Indian wedding before booking, and I told them this would be my first time. I’m so happy they trusted me with their wedding photography! Even though my speciality is in weddings, I’ve dabbled in lots of different styles of photography. When I was a teenager, I attended a Nat Geo student photography workshop in London. That’s where my photojournalism and travel background started. The most impressionable lesson was researching cultures and history before traveling to a new country. That lesson definitely applied to this wedding, where I wanted to make sure I knew what was happening next and not a miss a thing. Researching and being knowledgeable in all wedding traditions is part of my job and I’ll always do my best to be that anchor for my clients.
I’m so happy I got to capture this beautiful Indian wedding in the mountains! They are some of the most beautiful, down to earth people and I can’t wait for y’all to see their personalities come to life in these photos.

The baraat before the wedding was my favorite part! The groom and his family+friends will dance together walking up to the ceremony site. The bride’s family and friends will then join the party and dance together as well. It was so hot that day! Ujwall and his guys did such a good job keeping the party going.

Spruce Mountain Ranch has a couple different ceremony options. This one is at the top of a hill looking over the mountains. Once we made our way up and noticed how the events team decorated the alter, my jaw dropped. The vivid colors were gorgeous!!
