Photojournalism is the main aspect of my photography that stays consistent no matter what type of session it is. This is what keeps me grounded in knowing my purpose in life. Story telling through images and writing is something I've been passionate about ever since I studied photography in college. No matter if it's connecting with nature's beauty or connecting with the people around me, I truly care about telling their story. It's easy to wake up and see all the bad surrounding us, but sharing the joy, love, and light can change your perspective on how you feel every day. Take a look through my blog entries to see how you feel through my art of storytelling.

Mohammed & Jiehan’s Ethiopian Wedding Ceremony was such a beautiful day. It had been cold for so long and the sun came out just for us! They reached out to me via Thumbtack awhile back and we hit it off immediately. Once I got to know them, I knew that everyone feels like family when they are with them. Not only are they the kindest and sweetest couple, their whole entire family and friends were so amazing to me and my team! So much that I get to photograph their sisters wedding this April.
When Mohammed & Jiehan reached out to me, I told them that this would be my first Ethiopian wedding and I was so pumped to learn everything! I was so incredibly thankful that they trusted me to photograph their cultural wedding ceremony that was brand new to me.
We started the day at Jiehan’s parents house where she was getting ready with the rest of her family. I was able to photograph her in her STUNNING traditional wedding dress.
The reason I do what I do – seeing people literally RADIATING with joy and happiness in front of my camera!! Like how can you not enjoy doing what you do when your clients look that happy and confident!!
Next stop was to the gorgeous Al Farooq Masjid in Atlanta for the ceremony! We met Mohammed and his boys there for some before shots before the ceremony. We were able to capture some amazing and emotional shots at the ceremony.
After their intimate ceremony, Mohammed came around to give Jiehan a huge hug for the first time as a married couple! Then they went to the fountain to take photos with all of their family and friends before we took their groom & bride portraits.
I am so blessed that they trusted me to capture their wedding day! It was such a beautiful ceremony and we captured some amazing moments for Mohammed & Jiehan. I can’t wait to capture her sister’s wedding in a couple of months!! Come back next week to see their Reception. It was the most fun dancing I’ve had at a wedding!
