I moved here from Georgia almost five years ago! It’s crazy to think it’s already been that long. I’ve created such a community here that I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Hot take, but I think we’re so lucky to have tourism! Maybe I’m biased because I get to photograph travelers engagement sessions, destination weddings, and surprise proposals year round. Colorado has so many beautiful areas to take photos. You can’t go wrong whether you’re close to the city or in the mountains!

Aaron reached out to me last year when he was planning his proposal to Jess. They were visiting from North Carolina and didn’t expect the amount of snow we had in the spring! We went back and forth on different spots, but we decided to keep it simple. He added on the proposal set up to his photography, so there would be a little surprise for her waiting in the snow. They had a box of red wine and roses from Luna Flowers waiting for her and that’s how she knew he was planning something special. In the middle of the snowy park in Boulder, he kneeled down on one knee and asked her a very important question. She said yes – of course – and they embraced each other on that cold day. Moments later, I pop out from the trees for one more surprise haha.

It was such a pleasure witnessing this intimate moment and capturing their love! Getting to know people who travel here from all over is the highlight to my week.
